The weather forecast we have been hearing all week turned out to be right, a fine morning followed by a wet afternoon, in with all the detail was thunder but we haven’t heard any yet; I have an idea the noisy weather may pass over the south east of the country. I should phone my sister tomorrow, Portsmouth seems to have it’s full share of exciting weather; I quite enjoy a good thunder storm my self – not shared by Ziggy!

This week we last two of our long servicing actors, Christopher Lee and Ron Moody died at 93 and 91, I recall seeing Christopher Lee in a series of Hammer horror films, the best of them ‘The Wicker Man’ In resent times her has been in Star Wars, and more to my liking the Peter Jackson’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Hobbit’ trilogy.

Ron Moody will be remembered for his Fagin in the musical ‘Oliver’ he was just wonderful in that part, he had one regret that he turned down to be Doctor Who; I think most fans of Dr Who will share his regret – I’m sure he would have been a great Doctor Who, the last thing I saw him was in one episode of ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ Of course he shined in his part, a down and out sort selling doubtful treasure maps. Both will be remembered fondly …..

I haven’t been very active here lately, FaceBook seems to keep my busy with the high amount of feedback comes there, I’ll finish with a few photographs taken in these early days of June.
