I was too confident in my morning entry. At 10 this morning dad called and thought I needed to take him to the ER. He said he wasn’t feeling good. Hurt all over and just didn’t feel well. So after a couple of texts msgs and a phone call and telling J that grandpa was feeling bad again I went to his house. He was insisting he needed to go because he had been cold and hot during the night. (this is normal) I have a heat pump too and mine does the same thing. I’ll wake up in a sweat and then later on I’ll be cold. Strange maybe but it seems “normal” now. Anyway he wanted to change into clean clothes which he did and off we went. Sister was going to meet us at the hospital, brother had to work. I told him I’d let him know when we found out anything. Dad had insisted on packing some underwear and T-shirts to take, extra hearing aid batteries and filters for the hearing aids. Ok, we ready yet? Yes, finally and got to the ER and took him on back as they weren’t busy right then. Dr came in and asked a lot of questions. Ordered lots of tests and then we waited. I was really glad sister was there as I was having a hard time at not thinking “he’s doing it to us again so we all gather round”. He asked if my brother was coming after I told him brother had to work and I told brother I would keep him updated. If there was reason he needed to come, he would, but other than that brother would wait for me to let him know.
After blood draws, chest xray, urine test, the doctor came back and said nothing was showing up except that his BP was up. Told me/him/sister to take his BP med again (his BP had been running low so his primary doc had taken him off his BP meds last year) I had the list meds that take takes and has taken and when they were added or deleted from his intake. Doc said for him to take a whole pill when we got home and 1/2 tab tomorrow and mon and I will call his primary doc on Monday AM to inform them of his ER venture.

During the time he was there the ER got packed. No empty beds so that was one of the quickest releases I’ve ever seen. I was happy about that too. We stopped for something to eat on the way home and by the time we got home he started acting a bit bad. I took his BP and it was coming down. I had him go ahead and take the BP pill and then brother arrived. Dad had asked me if my brother was staying all night with him. I said I wouldn’t think so since he was feeling a little better. Now let me just say here that last weekend he was MUCH worse.

I wish now that I had taken his BP before we went to the ER but am pretty sure he was kinda hoping they would transfer him to the VA. No reason to transfer as they couldn’t find anything wrong. Now IF the BP goes up too high he will have to go back. However, I could have started him on the BP meds this morning. Ah well. So much for getting much done today. At least he is home and so far so good. Prayers for all please. I think I may need them more than dad does if that’s possible. I’m feeling a lot of suspicion and not sure it is justified.

Have things to do so take care and God Bless
