Never Ending Computer Problems in New Diary

l thought I had screwed up Anne’s computer yesterday. The guy from Comcast came and he said everything was hooked up properly and she was connected to the Internet. He showed us how to make IE the default browser and how to make Yahoo her home page. After he left I was on the computer going to different sites. All of a sudden we get a message that said the computer had a virus and not shut down the computer. We called RAC and they said they will be down within an hour.

I said lets go outside and not touch this thing and wait for them to come. So we went outside. I saw the guy from Comcast out there and I told him we were having computer problems. I asked if he could come up and maybe help us out a b it. He was just pulling out of the parking lot but said sure I will help you. We went back to Anne’s apartment and he looked at the computer .

He said we have a virus. He shut the computer off and then turned it back on. |It went through the update process. We waited for that to complete and then it said We couldn’t do all the updates and was undoing the changes. It was stuck on this screen for a couple of hours. In the meantime Amy from RAC came down and looked at it. There wasn’t much she could do until that finished the process.

I really thought | had screwed up Anne’s computer. I felt like a complete screw up. We had dinner and waited for two or three hours. I thought it would never work itself out. I thought she would have to get another computer make yet another service call from Comcast to get hooked up to the Internet. I was going through a lot of anxiety and felt very depressed. But After two or three hours it worked itself out. We got to the desktop and she was still connected to the Internet .

I went to Xfinity webpage. I downloaded and installed Norton. I said you should be ok now. By then it was late. We went to my apartment and watched the news for a while. It was late. We both agreed that this was a crappy day. Well one thing we spent most of the day together and that was a good thing. I chilled out for a couple hours and went to bed.

Yes yesterday was a crappy day. Today is not much better. Now I am having computer problems. My computer is not doing anything. It will not even shut off. I called RAC and they said they will be down sometime in the afternoon. Great I said to myself. just great.

I was going to spend today without obsessing about computers or NOOKS I was going to have a happy and productive day today. I was going to get some work done but I can’t do much because I am worried about the damned computers. I was cussing to myself fucking computers fucking gd computers. Computer problems never, ever end. They just haunt you for the rest of your life .
