silent thee oh bitter tongue
shown heart so open wide
tell the tale love song so sung
the truth be once confide

carry heart upon thy sleeve
til fall into thy grave
harm shall follow all your leave
na’er taken what you gave

the world discards the love so deep
doors closed and locked so tight
love be found within thy sleep
indifference greets the light

silent thee of love so true
for fate is mere forlorned
ye wish it not from thee to you
lost love yet never mourned
