Quo are back ………… in The odd entries from life …….

Bank Holiday Monday and I can’t recall a morning as quiet as this one, this holiday weekend it for Spring! For those who didn’t enjoy Friday though to Sunday today will be more to their liking, over those three day’s we had a music festival, ‘Music in the Dunes’ is a new venture this year, after reading through the lists of artists there was just one band I knew ‘Status Quo’ I would think any one would it was Quo after the first five notes and the drive they put in their songs.

Saturday morning, a walk though the boating lake, and I stopped a while to watch the Ladies bowling.

The misty beach

I didn’t know about Music in the Dunes until the Wednesday before, we listened to some of the festival from our patio, we are half a mile from the beach, Quo were no lauder than the other bands and artists; but the Quo sound stands out from the crowd. This morning we have a bright overcast, the three days of the festival were mostly misty, those who were here on Saturday were lucky as about mid afternoon the mist gave way to a few hours of sunshine, perhaps some up there likes Quo …..

From the patio we could hear the music, the lights were photographed while Status Quo were on stage, buy then the mist had retuned; a little mist is useful when you photographing light …. (c8

One of Quo’s songs we listened to from our patio was ‘Caroline’ it seems in their early days two members of the band with families had a holiday here in Perranporth, they arrived with the bones of a new song, on one wet day they sat at a table in the dining room and put some flesh on the bones; yes Caroline has come home ……….
