I FINALLY got through to the VA to schedule dad’s appointment. Tried to get them on the same day, but noooo. His primary doctor is on vacation this week so his appointment is for 2 Jun. His cardio Dr is on vacation the week of 2 Jun so that appt is scheduled for 16 June.

So around 11ish today I called dads house to check on him. No answer. Figured/hoped he was just asleep. Called back around 1230ish and he answered. He’d just gotten HOME. He drove to town to get a haircut. WHAT? So thank you for all the prayers, the water he’s been drinking, and taking his pain meds as prescribed!!

I must get this suspicion about 3 day weekends becoming all about something to do with his health, out of my head. I Must!!

WooHoo, clean house or not and it’ won’t be; my friend will be here in less than 10 days!! Yes, I know she is coming to see me and not the condition of my house keeping endeavors. Thank God!! LOL So, I’m over it. It is what it is. I’ll do what I can inside and get the needed things like mowing and weed eating done outside if I can. Working a bit on the guest room and bought new sheets which she may not even sleep on, but wanted to get some anyway. Maybe later this year, I’ll make a new pair of curtains for in there too. Right now, just going to be excited about the visit. When she gets here we’ll probably talk a mile a minute and not even notice anything else. lol

It’s been raining every day. Storms overnight. I was able to watch a lightening show about 4:30 this morning. The power and the wonder humbled me til I felt like a dust speck in the atmosphere of many.

Take care and God bless.
