Last week at this time, 7:49 a.m., we were boarding the small plane from Barbuda to Antigua to start the journey home—bah! It went so fast and I can hardly believe it has been a whole week back in civilization. When I went to work Monday, it seemed that there were so many cars on the road!
I went to the orthopedic doctor Wednesday and am all scheduled for the knee surgery this coming Wednesday. I have a torn meniscus which he will repair but if he discovers too much arthritis, he will drill a few holes in the bone to allow blood and cartilage to hopefully flow into those areas—there was a particular name for it, but it is just easier to say drilling the holes😜😜😜. If he does do that, I will have to keep that leg immobile for six weeks, hence crutches would be needed. I will be able to go to work in 3 weeks as I do sit most of the day. Of course, i don’t think I could go to court but I could do office work. If he just does the meniscus, I can go back much sooner, possibly in two weeks.
My son is having a kids party today and I have to bring a meat and cheese tray. Dumb me did not think to order it in enough time, so I have to get everything and assemble it myself. He is not having the party til 4 but I also have to go to a funeral service.
My kids are taking jeff and I out for dinner Sunday as a belated anniversary dinner and the rest of the weekend, I am devoting to getting things situated around the house in the event I am on crutches for six weeks. Guess I better get going, hope you all have a great weekend!
