start me up plug me in
point me there then I begin
program words to move my face
dress me up in steel and lace
eyes that glow lips of lead
you’re alive and I’m not dead
tell me of your dreams so true
maybe I’m that dream for you
program coded in my head
made for work, for play and bed
park me in my resting place
snap the locks and close the case
tell me all the things to do
always smiling just for you
last forever the factory said
tears for you when you drop dead
when you’re gone, the human race
the smile will be still on my face

Awesome!
Reminds me of Ex Machina. Which I really want to go see but haven't yet.

very much enjoy the idea of this, and just the words of this particular poem

I relate to this, in a strange way... the idea of living automatically, doing as you're programmed to do... interacting mechanically...
you’re alive and I’m not dead.... I guess this captures it, because the contrast between not dead and alive is very real...

very real...
