Saturday morning with rain showers in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

I knew we had chances of rain but was hoping it would hold off until this evening. Nope, it started raining about 6 this morning. I was up and drinking my coffee by 4:30 cause my RLS wouldn’t let me sleep any longer. That sucks, btw. Strange how once I get up it gives me relief so I started doing my laundry. The earlier I start and since it is raining and I can’t work outside, the more things I find to wash. lol I’m also getting some things folded and put away. Yay. Owen is here this morning or possibly most of the day, depending on how busy his mom is today. She has a client scheduled for 9 but apparently this client is reliable about showing up for appointments nor does she call to cancel. Not sure that I’d be as forgiving after a time or two of that type of disrespect, however I am not my daughter and know she needs all the clients she can get. I suspect unless it stops raining she won’t be as busy. One never knows though on any day.

Dude found out from his MRI that he has an 8 cm long tear in his shoulder tendon. He will meet with an orthopedic specialist to determine the treatment. On line, I looked it up and it said they usually start with therapy and if that doesn’t show any improvements then a surgery can be done. Please keep him in your prayers if you pray.

I take J back to the Dr on Monday to see the plan after the breathing test. It wasn’t a complete test, but hopefully gives them some information on further treatment or recommendations.

I am so ready to retire.

When I arrived home on Thursday afternoon I discovered a big limb had fallen out of a tree in front next to the road. It didn’t do any major damage to the shop but did make a mess of the iris’ and knocked down a bird house. Poor bird family. Owen and I worked on clearing the debris and limbs until we got to the big part which will need to be sawed into smaller pieces to be able to move them. I was planning on getting out my electric chainsaw this morning and starting on it but the rain has delayed that project. I also need to mow and do more weed eating, but rain hampers that also. *sigh I get farther and farther behind. Maybe I’ll make some cleaning progress inside since I can’t work outside, but my heart is outside. May go ahead and plant up a hanging basket or two to go with the one dad got me. I don’t have pots/planters available for flowers since I’ve used several of them for veggies. My bigger plastic barrel of potatoes are finally coming up now too. Can’t wait to see how many potatoes are actually going to produce. Hopefully several since I gave up two containers for flowers to potatoes. Another project for today was to till up a couple of areas to plant more veggies. Ah well, I’ll survive and hopefully so will the plants. It would have been excellent if I had got them planted before the rains.

Washing machine just finished so it is time to rotate. Have a great weekend. Take care of yourselves and God Bless!!
