Line dried laundry in In the Kingdom of Suzu

I forgot how nice it is to hang clothes on the line. At home, I don’t have much yard space anymore to hang laundry out plus it is too convenient to pop in the dryer. Here in Barbuda, I have been hand/sink washing our clothes every few days and hanging them on the line. Ahhh, the fresh smell, the whites that dazzle and even if the strong breeze blows something off into the sand, a quick shake and it is good to go. Just another thing I will miss.

I love the smell of clothes dried outside. It reminds me of my mom and simpler times. It sounds like you are having a lovely time.

It sounds like you are in a wonderful place! My mom always hung her clothes out to dry if at all possible. I used to hate having to help hang them, and I remember a lot of mad dashes out to the yard to bring the clothes in when a sudden rain started falling! But you're right.... there's nothing like the crisp aroma.

We don't line dry here. It is to humid. The clothes end up feeling "forever damp" and get a musty smell to them. So, yeah, if we hang to dry we do it inside. :)
