The seventh of May has arrived at last and with it our General Election with it, and I have managed to get though the last six weeks with out any politicians muttering in my ear; I believe every thing they say until they open their mouths! I find what they have dun a better way of assessing what they will do once in power, it pays to ignorer adverts …

I’ve been to the Polling Station this morning, there was a queue of people going no where because of a lost pencil, for a while democracy balanced on the point of a pencil, after five minutes things were moving; a true picture of us Brits standing in line keeping perky.

After six weeks of twenty four hour seven day’s a week reporting today feels some what empty, the news running through the night to dawn will kick off at nine fifty five o-clock; five minutes before the Polling Stations close! I try to keep away from the endless election show until midnight, a time when some of the city constituencies are racing to be with the good and bad news, from then on the fun is watching the people from the parties being smug or uttering a phrases much used on nights like to night ‘there is a long way to go yet’

For a British elation a coalition is something new, the first coalition government in my life was in 2010, and if the polls are correct we are heading there again! Last time there wasn’t a stronger ukip and that is the problem with those who don’t want to live with what I see as an extreme rightist government!
