Downpour! Phewie! in Holy Shit!

I don’t know who pissed off the Gods today, but holy SHIT this downpour is torrential!
The 15 minute trek home felt like a marathon. Thankfully I was smart enough to take my sturdier umbrella to work because my compact one in my bag would have been torn to shreds!
I eventually made it home and threw my bag inside and my keys inside, and proceeded to strip on the front balcony. The only thing that wasn’t soaked on me was my work-shirt, which was protected by the umbrella, but the bottom half of my work pants were saturated, my new shoes had completely filled with water via the air holes in the top and I removed my socks to wring them out. Jumping straight into a pool would have made them less wet.
My clothes are on the line and I have my shoes in front of the oscillating heater haha. Dunno if that’ll work. They’ll probably just catch fire. I’ll just have to wear a different pair of shoes to work tomorrow I think.

Now the thunder is rolling outside. I can only assume our garden ponds have overflowed and that the fish are having a grand old time frollicking amongst the flowers and grass.

Brisbane is used to this sort of weather in Summer. It’s a bit strange one month before Winter though.
