On the lighter side in Random Thoughts

I know my last entry was a bit heavy. To balance it out, I have news:

I am traveling to Turkey this summer! It has been on my list of destinations for years! I am adventurous, but have been afraid to travel easterly as a solo woman.

So, I have a well traveled male friend (Dios, the one i have mentioned in the past- he has been to China, east Asia, etc, etc) who has invited me to join him for a couple weeks in late June or early July.

My first thought is that I won’t want to intrude, but that is distorted thinking. I need to remind myself that someone wouldn’t invite me if it weren’t ok.

So, all the money I have been incredibly good at saving (to have an extra month of maternity leave when Kevin and I had a baby) will go to travel to one of my dream destinations.

Yay me.
