Ok so it is almost 5:30 so I suppose that is late afternoon or early evening.I stayed home again today with J. He is still coughing but think he is doing better. I plan to go to work tomorrow and honestly I dread it severely.
I made more headbands today. Planted some radish seeds. Planted a white Peony and have one more to plant. Bought the tubers a month or so ago. The one I planted looked alive and well. Guess time will tell as I’m sure will not bloom this year and maybe not even next year. I planted it in my little flower bed out my LR window and I may be sorry in about 5yrs but I can move it if I decide to. They don’t like to be disturbed, but sometimes you gotta. Have pink Peonies in the other yard that Fred got from his Mom’s yard many years ago. My Grandma had white ones and I’ve wanted white ones for a long time now. The white ones will be back in “her” yard if they survive.
The grands may freak out when it matures and start budding/blooming as the ants are critters they must have to bloom. If you kill the ants, the blooms won’t bloom. Strange, don’t you think? It is a partnership and they are good for each other. The blooms just don’t last as long as I’d like them too but they certainly smell wonderful and are beautiful.
Ok, I have the following seeds planted. The cucumber seeds are doing great, the beef steak tomato seeds, however, only have a couple survivors thus far. Have planted more green pepper seeds and the first batch didn’t come up. Lettuce in two places and today I planted radish seeds in med size tub that I had tomato plants in last year. The tub split over the winter so if the radishes make radishes, after the harvest I will shovel the dirt out of the tub and either throw it away or use something to glue/tape/bind it back together. As you may know by now I am hard pressed to throw things away when I think I’ll recycle it for something else or be able fix it. lol
In the flower bed where I planted the Peony, I have something coming up and a lot of somethings. I do not have a clue what I planted in the front or toward the road. Maybe I can look back at an earlier entry and see if I wrote in an entry. Doubt it as it looks as if it was an after thought as they are pretty bunched together. I am sure I figured the moles would devour them, so didn’t put much hope that they would come up. Love surprises like this and can’t wait to see what they do.
I went to the tax accountants and picked up and paid or Dad’s taxes, went by the license bureau, since it was only two blocks from the tax place and got Js handicap tag, then went to Walmart and got toilet paper, Kleenix, vinegar, coffee, bananas, more bobbins and another package of glitter elastic. I cleaned on the sewing area a little this afternoon. I am a mess!! After I put all my threads and bobbins in their places, I had two of each back out within 30 minutes. Still have lots of fabric to put in its place but sure I’ll do the same thing with the fabric too. I seem to have to have out and not wrapped neatly around the cardboard holders. Actually I’m out of room on my shelves for more fabric so have to double stack. Can you say “addicted”? Oh my. Still not satisfied with what I have always think I need more. I do try to keep in check and have been limiting myself to 1/2 yards when I buy for headbands. So far that helps. Still..........
I think I’m going to warm up leftovers for supper tonight. Chicken and noodles and green beans and maybe some lettuce salad. Not going to think about work, just going to continue my evening and pray for a good rest of the week for J and for me.
Take care and God Bless
