A routine? in A small but passable life.

I was up and out by 6am again this morning. Today was strength. I had brought my reading glasses so I was able to decipher the instructions to the machine. I worked out for a half hour.
I’ve never been a gym goer. My physical exercise has always been what I do for a living. For instance 2 ½ years of pitch forking turkey meat, throwing 50 pound boxes of turkey meat, and finally one-arming 38 pound turkey carcasses off the line. You know, real fucking work. The kind of work that builds lean muscles and destroys nerves and joints. Good stuff. I miss it.
Later in the morning, after Mom’s nurses visit (the last one), we headed out for a few errands. After that I headed to the pool for a few hours. Today wasn’t quite as hot as yesterday’s 94 degrees, but close to it with a good breeze going.
Jassy called and we talked for a bit. Her job is going great. School is going great. She’s still house hunting. She sounded good.
I finished reading Stephen king’s “Revival”. A very good story.
That’s seven books for the year so far. I’m so far behind Jassy with her fifteen books for the year so far.
Tomorrow? Cardio and the pool. And the next book.
