when you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail
when you’re an anxiety disorder, everything is a reason to scream
when you’re a literary theory, everything needs to be deconstructed
when you’re a nail, you’re afraid of every hammer
everything that looks like a hammer
that sounds like a hammer, moves like a hammer
everything that thinks itself a hammer
when you’re a nail, anything vaguely like a hammer you run like hell
you scream to anyone no no no
you don’t wanna go into that wood
what did that wood ever do you
what did the nail ever do to anyone
when you’re a hammer, try to think yourself into something else
a bird a concerto a hint of lime anything
we need less hammers
we need less nails too
but the hammers need to go away first
if we ever wanna make it work
