This morning has been busy and the rest of the day will be the same. My 3 grands will be here in an hour or so and they will be involved in prep for Easter dinner. The girls (well at least the oldest) is so excited about getting to chop stuff. lol Have several things on our agenda today and hopefully it all goes smoothly as possible. I will cook a ham, and I’m cooking chicken breasts right now for Chicken Alfredo. The usual “other main” has been spaghetti for years, however the grands do not care much for spaghetti. They do like Chicken Alfredo though so thought I’d change the “usual” other choice or main. Made a modified cranberry jello salad this morning and didn’t have the whole cranberries or the jellied. It will taste a bit different but have all the goodies in it. Have the mac cooked for macaroni salad and Mickey will get to chop the celery, onions, hard boiled eggs, and whatever else I think of. Hard boiled a dozen and a half of eggs this morning and they are cooled. A dozen will be dyed and maybe 2 extra and the other ones will be chopped for the mac salad. Lots of activity today and I’m doing laundry. heh! Vacuuming sweeping and maybe mopping will commence throughout the day and various other “cleaning” activities. If time, and the weather warms up (we got a heavy frost this morning) we will plant some lettuce. Check and reset the mole trap and whatever and however the day leads us. I’m looking forward to the day with the grands and I’ve been praying that I don’t stress preparing for this family time and to enjoy the time and the moments. I feel that today will be a turning point in my mind, soul, and heart.
The “June” date I mentioned in the previous entry, caused some curious mind. I will tell you that it involves a visit from a dear and wonderful friend from OD. I am so looking forward to it and hope she enjoys herself in my boring world. My house won’t be cleaned unless a miracle happens, and I do believe in miracles but not sure cleaning my house will be one of them. lol
Have a wonderful and enjoyable weekend. Praise the Lord for He has risen. Eternal life is ours for the taking.
Happy Easter and God Bless each of you!
