New Project - Dragon Eggs in Maile

So, one of the things that I’ve been focusing on in the past year is coming up with new projects and new designs for things to sell. Especially things that Eru and I can work on together and that would utilize both of our skill sets. :) I feel like showing off a few of the things that we’ve come up with…

First is our Dragon Eggs.

They’re made with Anodized Aluminum scales and actual eggs… the large ones are made out of Emu eggs, and the small ones are Goose eggs. I do the eggs, and Eru does the display boxes… they’re pine boxes we get from the craft store and he stains and details them and they seem to be a bigger hit than the eggs themselves. :)

You’ll notice that the last picture, the scales are different. :) That’s because I actually hand painted each one with alcohol ink before adding a layer of nail polish to set the colors in. It’s my first time doing an egg with that technique, and I have another one that I’m working on next.
