For sake of both simplicity and giving myself more credit, that includes warm-up and cool-down. Hey, time on the treadmill is still time on the treadmill.
As always, I give myself a minimum time just so I knew I showed up. Typically after that, I feel motivated to push myself a bit farther. And, on rare days, I will just stop after twenty minutes total, knowing that it’s better to show up than do nothing.
I dunno, I don’t normally post about cardio. I was DRENCHED afterwards. I’m on pace to eat near-perfect today. I’m normally protein-paranoid, but I seriously just need to reduce my portion sizes and be a little hungry at night. As well, I used to eat WAY too much post-workout. Inspired by skinny white girls everywhere, it occurred to me to have yogurt post-workout. Of course, greek yogurt gets expensive quickly. Then I remembered how I used to make yogurt smoothies all the time. The problem was how bloated it would make me. What did I say, portion sizes? “You dumbass, just use less, you don’t need half a vat of yogurt.”
Once I start looking better, for lack of a better term, I’ll probably worry about peri-workout protein more. In the mean time, what’s important is just eating “something” before and “something” after, not necessarily wasting money on whey.
