Cloudy, overcast Saturday in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

I am so far behind in reading all of you. I pray all of you are doing well. Not a bad week, weather wise. Yesterday we had fog and low cloud cover all day. It rained over night on Thursday night and has stayed “damp” since then. Yesterday afternoon it just flat rained for most of the evening. I was so glad that I had gotten my groceries and was on my way home by the time it started raining hard. Work is keeping my days longer than normal. Not fond of working overtime, but the short suspense didn’t really give me a choice. Next week we will be inspected. First time EVER since I’ve been working that I’ve known of an inspection. I’ll really be glad when next week is over although I’m not dreading next week either. Looking forward to meeting the “voice” I talk to often face to face.
Monday night I had a Workshop board meeting. The future for the Workshop is looking very promising. Our greenhouse manager is doing an excellent job!!
Tuesday night I reviewed the parental agreement that A’s lawyer had written up. I was surprised at how many things I found that needed to be fixed. A wants me to meet her at the lawyers on Monday at 10. I plan to be there and then get back to work. At 4 or 4:30 on Monday I and many of us will be doing a “meet and greet” with the inspectors from HQs. Blah. I’m not fond of those evening activities at work. The inspections will begin on Tuesday.
Wednesday night I made a quick stop at Walmart to look at their fabric. I’m making headbands and I bought a few pieces and more of the patterned elastic. I made several elastic headbands this morning and after I get the house cleaned I will try and make a couple more.
Thursday I left work a little early so I could meet the school bus at my house. A had a late night at work and so I let Owen come here until she gets done. She got here about 7:30.
Last night after I had done the grocery shopping and got it put away I started the laundry. Did 2 loads last night and the rest is getting done today. I got the other curtains put up in my bedroom this morning and changed the flood light light bulb over the utility room sink. Ahhh love that light. Just don’t love changing it.
Learned a hard lesson last Sunday evening. I drank coffee ALL day Sunday and forgot to change to Decaf in the afternoon. Sunday night was a very long night as I couldn’t sleep. Finally about 3am I fell asleep and then the alarm woke me at 4:45. Bet I remember THAT lesson for a long time to come.
Young man passed away this week from cancer. He was only 51 yrs old. I babysat him and his sisters when I was in HS a few times while his parents went out by themselves. He was a comedian til the end. I believe he brought the level of happiness and joy to another degree in heaven when he arrived.
You all are in my prayers and some of these days I’ll get caught up with you. I sometimes do a quick visit and read your entries quickly but not doing good at leaving a note.
Would like those who pray to pray for me as I continue to entertain the idea of retiring at the end of this year. Since I bought the Tahoe in January, I will not be able to pay off the house by the end of the year, yet I continue to go back and forth on what God wants me to do. IF I need to continue working, pray that God gives me peace of mind. IF I should/need to retire by the end of the year, I am praying He will make that obvious to me. I want to retire badly but also do not want to make the wrong decision. So, thank you.
Thank all of you that left input on my last entry. I appreciated each one.
Time to do the last load of clothes so will end this now. Take care and God Bless
