The Hob(bit) - pictures and pin ups in blackpropaganda

The cottage pie went down well - although I was handicapped since our ceramic hob cracked last week - and only two rings were available - and one of those sometimes does not come on - as it didn’t yesterday - so I had to work on one before assembling all the stuff. Interesting that the red wine I used we got at Asda and is the same as the cheapest one in the supermarket in Spain, which is actually very good - and there is was for a couple of quid in the UK. Excellent stuff!

We went in and bought a new hob today - and it should be installed tomorrow. We read instructions for the old hob - and see we have been using it with utensils which we should not have used! I think it broke because it was old - and maybe had a small crack in it. Anyway - back to four rings soon!

No one wanted to buy one of my pictures at the art exhibition - back they came today - but then fewer people buy pictures in these straitened times - even if you price them competitively. I now assume, when exhibiting, that I shall bring them home again - and put them back on the hooks on our walls. In the end I shall have to leave them to the nation in lieu of death duties (joke)

Anyway - I liked this cartoon - it hit the spot.
