Painting and a question.. in blackpropaganda

There has been one thing missing in my life lately - actually more than one - but, still, this one has started to be addressed - I have sone some water-colour painting. I have a framed picture which I do not like - and have decided to use the frame and paint another picture - but it is large - and for any artist the first mark on the pristine paper is always difficult.
Also we have been busy, and I need a few hours concentrated time - but now the sun is shining - the light is good, and I have some time - so this morning I got started - thinking through the approach to a big picture - with water colour it is difficult to rectify mistakes - and you need a clean picture. So I am up and going - which will be a relief all round.
I do have some pieces in an exhibition - but these are ones I take off the walls (yes - our house is full of my pictures that no one wants except me!!!) - so it was time to do something new!

Question - I wonder how many husbands give their wives something for Mother’s Day? (Not that!!!)
