what you could do in poetry

What you could do is
beat someone to death with the world’s largest gummy worm.
Then eat the gummy worm.
Hope the lack of evidence exonerates you.
Make sure you use an actual-sugar gummy worm.
Do not use the artificial-sugar gummy worm.
The artificial-sugar gummy worm will cause so much diarrhea
you will require hospitalization for acute dehydration
and that might be just enough circumstantial evidence
upon which to hang you.

I’m not saying that you should actually do this.
I am a pacifist myself.
I’m just saying if you’re going to do something stupid
do it with such style
do it with such absurd verve
that no one could even think it possible.

Dream big
and stupid even bigger.
