Temp at 3 am is 34 degrees - one degree above freezing!, wind is 4mph from the SW, humidity is 83%.

We lost a lot of snow yesterday. The sun was strong and bright, and promises to shine today too.

Yesterday, after Fayze’s and Woodman’s, we ended up at Reno Bottoms. It of course was lovely. Along with the expected was the unexpected:

A set of snow creatures.

Here are the people who made them:

There is a young granddaughter ahead at the left of the road.

We walked a long ways. We went straight east past the fishing spillways to the corner where the bench is. Then we doglegged south east and then went halfway across the next east section.

On the nicest, warmest, most lovely day of the year, at one of the most beautiful places to be in our area we met:

  • The family in the picture above who were near the entrance.

  • A fisherman coming back from the spillway with his white plastic pail. He’s caught two perch.

  • A fifty-ish attractive happy couple.

  • A fitness oriented young-ish woman.

I kept hoping for a dog. If Gracie was happier riding in a car, we might take her sometime. But Gracie is a stay at home dog. She gets to share a Woodman’s summer sausage with Jim for being good.
