Oldies and goldies in blackpropaganda

Thank you to the noters who wished me well. My neck is the main issue now - and this was not helped by making a round car trip of 150 miles yesterday
This was in very mixed weather - snow, sleet, rain and beautiful sunshine - and as the snow melted the water on the road became a hazard. So lots of concentration - and really sore when we got home - but this morning after a good night’s sleep it is easier - so should be OK.
We mad the trip to see an 80 year old single lady who we met on a cruise two years ago - and found she lived not too far away - and then she was on our cruise last year, but contracted shingles and for the second part of the cruise was confined to her cabin. We were off the ship by this time. We have been in touch, but not seen her since - and this was a good opportunity to meet up and have lunch. She is a very feisty, ex-professional lady who once had a senior position in the BBC - and is good company.
She stiull has problems with the shingles and is on medication, and her big bugbear is that she cannot take an alcoholic drink! So a good time was had by all - she appreciated us making the trip - and phoned yesterday evening to check we had got back safely. Next time we are taking the train.

So after all that the weather should become more springlike over the next few days - which will be a relief. We might even get into the garden and do some work there - or we might just have a rest!!!!!!
