WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!
on monday, at 3.
I have absolutely NO idea as to what exactly we should take in with us..
I have pics printed off from both our trips, and of course i will take in the marriage cert, and his passport/visa work, but other then that, what do i really have? or need???
gah, stressed about having everything, but relieved to finally have one if that makes sense…
Money has been rough this month to, so i have to go to citi tomorrow. was only getting $500 to hold over, and put some back into the savings that we had to spend for bills/groceries, but when i was talking to the lady yesterday, she asked about paying off my credit card.
initially i said no, but now i am kind of it. It would be nice to have it payed off for emergency if needed, as it is i haven’t even activated the new card and the other one expired 2 months ago.. the interest would be higher on the loan, but it would be one less bill to make payments on, and again, it would be nice to have it, just in case..
I may ask her to show me some numbers for over a 2 year period when i go in, other wise this one will only be one one year. sucks cause i was so determined to be out of this loan this year…
Could still be technically, once D gets working again it would be easier…
Ugh i don’t know really what i should do…

Also take any letters or emails between you guys as evidence that the relationship was going on way back when. Details of any joint finances, leases, anything showing the same address as one another. We had next to nothing as everything was in my sole name, so don't fret if you feel like you don't have much - it's just stuff that I know they'll ask for.

thanks! hes not on the lease here, as i was living here 7ish years before he moved over, and my landlord is out west now, so never bothered to update the lease.. emails, theres not really anything worth showing, except contacts from when we WEREN'T together... /sigh.. we DO Have a journal we both wrote in from when i went there, and he here!!

Yes, I wrote my previous note on my phone, so it was a bit brief. I only had two or three emails to show, because we used instant messenger, and his email address didn't even use his real name, but it was still acceptable. They just want to see something, but the biggest thing in your favor will be to show something from years and years ago, because that establishes that your relationship has been ongoing for long enough to satisfy them.

Honestly, we had NOTHING. He wasn't able to work, so we didn't open a bank account for him. The bills were in my name because I had the income. For the same reason, he wasn't a lessee on our lease, but he was listed as living there. And the immigration officers thought that was ludicrous, but that's just the way it was. Take it or leave it, ha.

But, it just needs to be enough to satisfy the immigration officer to tick a few boxes. You guys are genuine, so there's nothing to be worried about, except affording all the fees : /

GOOD LUCK!

I was thinking about you this morning: We were also asked for any correspondence sent to M at our address, seeing as he had no bills or anything with his name and that address. We asked a couple of friends to send him birthday cards and postcards and crap, and that was acceptable. It was sort of a matter of creating the evidence so that the officer could tick the box on the form.

yes, well i was able to get a couple things from my cell provider showing his name on my bill, and a print off from our savings account with both our names, so thats a help.
