Yeah - it’s 3:30 am and I’m up. I’m pretty much ready to go to work. What? Yeah, that’s what I’m saying too. Woman at work was wearing a yellow t-shirt with the Eiffel Tower on it. I complimented it - said it was like being on vacation. She said she didn’t have time to do laundry.

Anyway. Google says it’s 9 below zero. Wind is 3 mph and the humidity is 81%. One thing I remember from school - little joke there - is that the humidity is relative. If it’s 81% that means that it is 81% of what it could be. And what it could be changes with the temperature. Cold air can hold a lot less humidity than warm air. So even if we have 8i% humidity, that’s nothing like 81% in the summertime.

My fitbit came yesterday. Now I have a dongle and a charger to keep track of. Ah, life is so complex. Little blue Acer only has one USB port so there is considerable swapping going on. My mail scanner, my camera, and now the dongle all have to take turns. Oh well life is complex.

In some ways I wish I’d gotten one that tells time. But this one was in the Bean catalog = on line - and I had gift cards so I got it and a jacket/coat that’s on back order for a grand total of $16. Plus the bonus of not having to worry about losing or forgetting or having the gift cards disappear one way or another.

I’ve written here daily now for about a week and a half. I seem to be an all or nothing person. I have no genes for moderation. Oh well.

Here is a picture of a tree I planted in the early 1980s. It’s blue spruce. Blue spruces are not in style. I heard a plant expert say that on the radio. They aren’t very good trees for reasons that I can’t remember. Short-lived, maybe? Oh well, aren’t we all?
