So little compared to other areas, but I’m sick of this crap. Another winter advisory for today for freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Work has issued a 2hr delay and it just now as dropped to 32 degrees which means the freezing stuff will begin. I’m not going to work. I am not going to sit and watch and wait for the weather and roads to do what is expected and then pray I get home. Blah!! I also am not having J go to work. I expect them to cancel but who knows? The schools in the area are slowly beginning to cancel as the temperatures drop and the front moves into the outskirts of our county. We are the “Sho Me” state and as the freezing stuff “shows” then the cancellations begins.

J didn’t feel good yesterday and stayed home from work. He told me to go on to work cause “I’m a man Mom”. Had to laugh because most of the men I’ve known want someone to stay and take care of their every need. I did come home early and on the way home stopped and got 7 up, chicken breasts and thin noodles. I put on about 4 small chicken breasts to make chicken noodle soup for him to eat. He was feeling better and ate a bowl of the soup yesterday evening with crackers. Didn’t want seconds and didn’t want anything else. He wasn’t taking any chances. With that said, I didn’t think it would hurt to have him stay home today anyway. The weather and he not feeling great yesterday made my decision to stay home pretty easy. Haven’t notified my boss yet, but I will. I really think that by 9 the freezing will have begun and the accidents will have started.

I should have read my previous two entries as I have forgotten what I wrote about last. I think it was finding out that I only was to watch Isaiah Saturday afternoon. Oh I remember now. I had written that I thought we’d received around 6” of snow. I was so off on that estimate. We really only received 4 1/2 inches as I had Dude take a measurement after he and the girls arrived on Sunday AM to pick up Isaiah. They played on the 4-wheeler and sleds for several hours on Sunday. I fixed a big pot of chili for a late dinner/early supper and then they headed home around 4:30 Sunday afternoon. I cleaned up the kitchen, swept the kitchen floor, ran the dishwasher and I think I was in bed by 8:30. I was beat. Nerves from the snow and travel of the kids had taken it’s toll over the weekend and then all 4 grands and a nephew were here so it was very active inside and outside on Sunday.

I forgot to write that Dad’s 86th birthday was last Friday. We took him to a restaurant famous for it’s all you can Fish. He had mentioned several times that he’d like to go again and my sister thought of it and I thought that was an excellent idea. I left work just a few minutes early and came home. Had J take a shower and put on clean clothes (sigh…I have to remind him to put on CLEAN clothes) then I went to dad’s and picked him up and also picked up brother in law and nephew and we headed to the restaurant. Sister met us there from her work and boy did we time it right. When we ordered it was around 5 and there weren’t many people there. By the time we finished eating and were leaving, there was a waiting line to be seated. Next time we will try to be there by 5 too. The fish is small pieces, kinda like chicken nuggets, only it is thinner and fish. Next time I’m going to get the pan fried chicken. I believe most anything to get is going to be good. It doesn’t look too great on the outside, but ummmm ummmm the inside fixins are delicious.

I refilled the regular bird feeder yesterday evening and took down the toilet roll feeder as the birds had pretty much left it nakked.

I don’t know if you remember me telling you about the lady that gave me to two American Doll knockoffs to me last fall or not but I made wardrobes for both dolls and that was my grandgirls Christmas from me. Well the same lady texted me yesterday and she had found another doll and asked me if I still wanted it. YES I still wanted it so I met her before I came on home yesterday to get it from her. Again, she didn’t charge me anything for the doll and I have it to try on any more clothes I make for the dolls. I haven’t made any more clothes for the dolls since before Christmas. I may make a few things in between working on the quilt. Still working on the quilt when I am in the mood and when I have time. That isn’t going to great right now. Maybe today? I shall see, but am hopeful.

Going to end this now. Take care and God Bless.
