Jeff’s band is playing a benefit later on today. It is for a little boy fighting cancer. Insurance is covering most of the expenses but the family needs to,travel about an hour away for his treatments and that is what is hard on them financially, plus time off from work. The benefit is as a result of the lead guitarist’s one guitar being stolen, then returned damaged from the new year’s gig at a private club. It is from 1 to 8, jeff is going around 12 to set up, then coming back home and we will go back out about 4. His band plays from 6 to 8. Of course they are calling for weather this afternoon into the evening—yuck!

Had some medical appointments this past Monday. First the surgeon----I am doing well and now am on a 6 month checking in. She told me that with the diagnosis that I had, it was a 95% cure and with the medication, it upped it to 99% cure, so that was VERY good news and hopefully nothing else comes along!

Next, I saw the plastic surgeon and got another fill—the last one, I promise! And we scheduled the “switch out”. Surgery for the implants is scheduled for Friday, March 13 and I will be out of work for 2 weeks. The nurse had said 2 to 3 weeks, but the dr felt 2 would be sufficient and much as I would not mind the extra week, 2 will be fine with me and ESPECIALLY with my bosses at work as we are down another court clerk!

After that appointment, I had lunch with former co-workers and then headed for a bone density test. The medical oncologist will call and give me those results—I see him in April.

Last, I went for a little pampering and had a chemical peel. it was nice to just relax.
