No no I didn’t kick the bucket, it was in my hand as I was tacking water to Ziggy’s paw bath, I heard a chirp just over head, looking up there was a young Buzzard fling just above the roof line of the bungalow; I have never seen on a low as that one!

As it flew over the roof and out of sight I poured the water into the tray, then I put the bucket down and went in for a camera, my DSLR was in a bag but the smaller Canon G10 was on the table as close to hand. I stood outside with my camera coming to life and the Buzzard on the wind a little way off.

In a few seconds it dived and curved round the sun lounge and swept over me, I panned the Buzzard and managed to exposures, while it flew over the bungalow I took a quick look at my images; the first is of the Buzzard and the second the side of the sun lounge.

My Canon G10 is a great camera to carry with me, but like many small cameras they are slow between shots, my DSLR will rattle off several shots so I could have got the second shot of the Buzzard, that brief hesitation meant I panned that littler longer and got the side of the sun lounge!

I listened a few seconds of the chattering of the Buzzard as it made it’s way with Rooks keeping it from their nests, then it passed higher over the bungalow, so I zoomed in and got two more images before the Buzzard and accompanying when out of sight over the bungalow roof.

I waited listening and watching hopping to see them again, nothing, so I moved away from the sun lounge, and way up there was the Buzzard stationary on the breeze; and well out of the reach my camera. So then it was back to filling Ziggy’s paw bath!
