Suit's done! in Adventures in paradise

I walked back into the YD in the city here, and the girl recognized me immediately, “Oooo, he’s on a mission!” she said.

I was impressed she actually remembered me. I’ve only been in there once.
I told her that I could now buy the suit from her store, as I had permission to do so, so she jumped at the chance and asked the details of the suit and all that jazz. I’d actually looked on the website before going in there to see what it looked like, and it looked rather bland compared to some of the other ones on there. I mean, it’s a suit, so it’s cool, but if I were choosing a suit for myself, I would have gone with some of the other ones over this one.

But hey, it’s not MY choice. I just have to part with a few hundred bucks of MY own money for it haha.

Anyway, I tried on a few different sized jackets. I was pleased with how the material felt. It was SMOOTH! Gorgeous feel. The first jacket seemed to fit great, but then she got me to try one up from that one, and it just seemed to fit a little better. I figured it might be better to go for one slightly bigger anyway, since it had a little more give and the one before slightly bunched up at the arms, even though either would have suited (ha) fine.
I tried the pants on (she guessed I was a 34, so I was impressed with that) and the jacket along with one of their dress shirts just to see how it looked with it, and I have to say I thought I looked rather spunky in it when I looked in the mirror outside the change-room :) I should have taken a photo there of it haha, but I’m not sure what the policy is with photos in clothes places, although I’m sure everyone does it. Plus my phone was back in my pants in the changeroom so meh.
I thought about putting it back on here at home, and I might yet, but I don’t really have a white dress shirt to go with it. I do have other coloured ones though.
I was going to buy the white dress shirt along with the suit, but I saw it was another $90 so was like “Hmmmm”. It was nice though haha. I might go back and get it yet.
The suit was actually on sale for $199 down from $299. Considering I’d been quoted $240 at the discount price in Toowoomba, that sure as hell worked out well. My brother’s fiance told me it would probably be around $270 without the discount, so in reality I saved myself almost a hundred bucks.
My total came to $219, as I had to get the pant-length shortened a little, so I went and grabbed some food and came back after an hour.

I decided on Nando’s for some late-lunch, and I was surprised when I recognized the waiter who brought my food over. He apologized for the wait, but in reality, Nando’s always takes ages because they cook everything fresh, so I didn’t feel like I was waiting at all. I was already on my phone, so looked up the facebook of this waiter who I was the same guy, and I’m pretty sure it was. If it was, he’d only added me as a friend fairly recently. I had no idea he worked there, so that was coincidence. It wasn’t listed on his details, so I couldn’t be too sure. I’d never seen him in person before, so cross-referencing from still-pictures is usually hard for me. I’m hopeless at recognizing Grindr still-frames in real-life, although a lot of my friends are genius’ at it. Like, I’ll even get messages from guys on Grindr sometimes saying that they saw me in the city, and I’m like, ‘Wait. What?’ because I’ve been completely oblivious at having seen them at ALL.
I had to wonder if he recognized me also. Surely?

I thought about getting the dress shirt along with it, since that would’ve made up the price. I do need to get one, I just thought I might be able to get one a bit less than that price yet, although I assume decent dress shirts are all around that price. I was kinda thinking maybe more around the $60 mark rather than the $90. That might not seem like much of a difference to most people, but to this little black duck it does. So I’ll keep an eye out. I did have to wonder if the other boys just bought the YD dress shirt (as they probably would’ve just upsold it to them, being oblivious straight guys), and I’d prefer to look exactly like the other guys since the rest of the outfit will be. I already have nice black dress shoes, so I figure they will do.
So maybe when I get the proper dress shirt I’ll upload a pre-wedding piccie. You’ll all want to fuck me when you see it, I promise :P
