Snow? in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

We apparently received snow in certain areas in our area overnight. I had no clue until the radio announced that school in our town cancelled classes for today. Wow. I can’t tell how much is out there yet, but down here in the valley I don’t think it is much. And compared to what the states in the east have gotten this would be a joke to you. I can’t help but wonder since we’ve had such a snow free winter so far if they just used this as an excuse. Probably not though as I’ve seen it do this before. A dump in one area and just 1/4 mi away there will be hardly anything.

This week at work has been good and then frustrating at the same time. Was doing a mini vent with one of my POCs and she asked me when I was going to retire. lol She then apologized and said she didn’t mean it that way. I said yes, you did. You are wondering if I’m going to retire or have a stroke.
I’d much prefer retirement.
When this day is over at work, the 3 day weekend begins. May be watching O tonight for A and maybe Jack for sister tomorrow. Haven’t heard for sure for either. I really need to cut fabric for the quilt and I did start a few weeks ago but have made no progress since then. I must get in gear if I’m going to get a quilt made by May. *sigh
I will end this now and get in the shower. Just had to write about the unexpected snow. lol
Take care and God Bless

Silent Echo/Quiet Storm February 13, 2015

snow coming saturday into sunday. 8 to 12 inches. fierce wind and bone chilling temperatures. might not have church again this sunday. been a rough 20 days or so. 5 feet of snow in my town. boston has been hit much worse.

does she want your job? is that why she asked you when you'd be retiring?

angela started a quilt for me years ago and has not gotten far on it. it's cut and some of the pieces are put together but, she's not working on it now. she's just not sewing at all. with an hour drive to work and the same home, she says she has no time to sew.

take care,

The closer you get to retirement the more the petty things might get to you at work.

I recommend retirement over a stroke.
