Glad I didn't go in Stuff

Last night out with the nightfillers must have gotten a little wild, from the stories I heard today. One guy attended who was there in the early morning like I was, and was telling us about the copious amount of booze he’d consumed. He’s always very friendly to me, although I barely know him, other than we’re both gay haha. So he went, which was a surprise because I don’t think he normally does.
Jon rocked up in the afternoon looking a little worse for wear. He’s the guy who organises the night’s out and has pre-drinks at his place.
Apparently Jon had to CARRY Callum home, who became the new 2IC after I left nightfill. As far as I know, they are also best friends and Jon got him the job. I assume he had today off.
Marty didn’t even show up for his shift. No-one could get a hold of him. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. It’s about the 4th or 5th, and each time has been after a night on the booze. He’s older than me, and a fantastic worker otherwise. He just tends to drink a little too much and disappears into oblivion. No call in sick or anything. He’s a diabetic so it worries everyone, but he’s always turned up for the shift after. So who knows what happened to him this time. Last time he ended up in the hospital.

So it sounds like I made a good decision not going. Do you think I could sleep properly last night though? I had to wonder if I should have gone and just drank water for the night. I could have gone to work that way, but it’s not much fun being the only sober person among a pack of straights.

I’m about to get ready to go see Charlie Hides. Should be a good laugh. Steve managed to find a friend to give me some cash for my final spare ticket I have (since Moe preferred to spend Valentine’s Day with his boyfriend, rather than his friends) so that worked out well. No idea who the guy is, but at least the ticket won’t be going to waste :)
