New Blessings in 2015

Did I mention that we were trying to conceive? Officially at least. January was my first cycle that we were trying. And it took! Our new baby will be joining us October 2015!

I just found out today. Scott wants to be creative in how we announce to our family and friends so he would like me to stay quiet. I told my two closest friends here because they have been praying for me. But none of you will spoil the surprise right?

I’m in shock. I genuinely can’t believe we got it on our first try! I’m happy though. I prayed and told God that I didn’t want to play the waiting game. I guess He answered that for me.

I told Scott that I was feeling anxious about it today, after a week of very obvious signs, and he told me to go get a test. I’m not even late yet, still 4 days away. But, I saw the line as soon as the urine traveled to it. I felt bad telling him over the phone, but I couldn’t keep it in especially since he knew I was going to be taking a test. I can’t wait to hug him and look him in the eye when he gets home.

Still waiting to tell the kids and parents. That has to be part of the creative announcement.

I am so happy.
