… is Ground Hog Day.

Always six more weeks of winter… even though this winter has been mild in my neck of the woods.

The picture above just showed up in my email. It came from the son’s cell phone. So it is very fresh.

I took the Ice Cream Truck to work today. Jim was deciding whether to take the Buick to Larre. It’s had a coolant issue forever but today he decided it’s ok. So no doubt I take it work tomorrow.

Do unascribed pronouns bother anyone but me? The ‘it’ in the last sentence of the paragraph above. It means the Buick but you can’t tell for sure. Guess it matters either very little or none at all.

I’m reading a library book about Henry Ford. It’s called Invented the Modern Age and it’s written by Richard Snow. I’m enjoying it. Ford was like men I know. Well he was on a different plane of course. Or do I mean plain? He was mechanical and ambitious. He learned how to do things and he took chances and he did them. He turned out to be kind of a nasty man - racist and hard on his son and unable to share the glory for his organizations’ accomplishments. He even managed to cheat on his wife in a rather inventive way.

I’d like to write more. There were no newspapers today and so there are no sudokus. I (and others) were let out of work today after eight hours instead of ten, so I have more time that I’m not sure what to do with. I feel good about life and everything. I bought myself some dark chocolate covered almonds at the check out at the grocery store. Of course I ate them on the the way home, but still. They were good and I am happy.

Best of luck to you all. I hope you find your own version of dark chocolate covered almonds.

Different pic. Better pic? What do you think?

Both show the sundog in the center near the horizon.
