Kind of a mixed morning but i would say I’m a good bit happy and thankful.
Rocky’s SUV needs to go to the shop. It needs new bearing on the drivers side. It is currently grinding and I’d prefer he didn’t drive it until we can get it fixed. It will require tools and ability dad doesn’t have so shop it is. We took it to the Co-op this morning to have them look at it. Rocky called yesterday and we were hoping to get it in today for roughly 280.... until they looked at it. Then it was 2 sets of bearings and the axle shaft needed to be replaced 530....there is 650 in the bank now… so I could make the rest work. I’d be okay and he’d be safe, but they can’t do it till Monday....
We get home and I tell dad about it, he throws a fit about the axle shaft and sends us back to town for a second opinion. We did and the place we stopped said the shaft is fine they could get us in Monday morning for the bearings for 290.... so on principal they will get the business though it’s 10 bucks more than they quoted at the co-op for the bearings because they obviously aren’t going to try to take us for something we don’t need.... and yes they looked at it too....
So, while we were gone dad looked at my car. I have no heat in my car. Up until about 2 weeks ago the defrost worked so i just had to start it up real early… then suddenly it just quit. Wouldn’t even be a problem if I didn’t have to leave the house at 5:15am or work at 5:30am depending on the shift. I just don’t get to drive in comfort… freezing hands/ gloves, I bought a heated seat cover that is uncomfortable but helps me warm up… and a blanket over my legs. I’ve been in a grin and bear it state because in April I can lease.... I’d like not to but it was the plan.... was… like I said dad looked at it while we were gone because I had come home Friday morning (Thank God) after risking my life because I seriously had frost on the inside of my car…

I was driving down the road when it seemed to suddenly appear. The White line faded and my parking job was horrible but, I didn’t run into anything. I sat for 20 mins with no signs of improvement and then scrapped it off… I made it 45 mins down the road before the snow I created had melted. NO LIE. NO choice, no way was I going another week without heat.... until 530 bucks to get Rocky’s fixed. Then i was ready to bundle up… but dad took a look at it for me. He found some paper in the fan! cost: 20 mins of dads time.... cost to me: 20 bucks because I felt the NEED to

Result: I am thankful that the fix for safety on the SUV is 300 not 550.... I am thankful I have a job in which I feel that 550 is doable. Tight but doable. I am thankful that it was only paper in the fan causing me to not have heat. I was miserable and I want Rocky to drive my car the next couple nights to keep the SUV off it’s wounded leg. I am thankful he won’t have to suffer like I have been. I am thankful to tears seriously. It’s funny to be thankful that you have bills to pay but when it’s problems solved and you have the ability to take care of it.... I’m thankful and happy.
