I didn’t get a chance to write yesterday because I was reading Fifty Shades of Grey all day.
I want to write an entry about it and do a video blog. It is quite an interesting story, and I like how the EL James took the Twilight series and ran with it…creating her own spin on what a story like Twilight should be counter-conceived.
At first, I was enjoying the story, but now, I have some reservations about the writing. I can see what reviewers mean about how Anastasia characterized in the book. Some of what she says…the language could have been better used. For now, I will leave it at that until I finish the novel and do my reviews.
I do like the character of Christian Grey. I suspect he might have been easier write for James than Anastacia. I think sometimes…it is difficult for writers to write a heroine well compared to any type of hero or villain. For me, I have a very easy time writing and creating male fictional characters. I know I can write female or create female characters, but I am always nervous that I won’t do the character justice.
As the weekend fleeted by, tragic news came that Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was found in her bathtub tub…her face facedown when he husband and her husband’s friend found her. It is similar how her mom, Whitney Houston was found.
I cannot imagine losing a mother…not the way Bobbi Kristina did. And I cannot imagine having to deal with the aftermath. If Bobbi Kristina dies, it will be a very tragic situation. I don’t think her mom, like any mom, would have wanted her daughter…to be that young join her in the next dimension. Yet, sometimes, it is hard to beat your demons…and it is hard to beat the depression over something so traumatizing. I feel bad for Cissy Houston. To lose her daughter and only granddaughter…and to potentially outlive both must be devastating.
From what I read, many folks don’t like Bobbi Brown, but I am sure he’s suffering. I can’t imagine the pain he’s going through.
My thoughts are with the Brown and Houston families.
