Still waiting for the apocalyptic weather here - hail, sleet and some snow - but not as bad as other places - all to do with where the showers go - and the temperature - so just keep the fingers crossed.
Looking forward to this afternoon when there is the first of a series of art lectures. They are always interesting - and invariably in the dark looking at images on a big screen my eyes begin to shut - I know it is going to happen - I just let it - and don’t fight it. After a few minutes (maybe ten) I get back to the land of the living. I know there are others doing the same thing - but I try to sit in the back row in the corner where no one can see my head sagging.
I cannot even remember the themes of the talks - I think it is about women - but that is the joy of just going along.

EDIT
They will be about women artists - and in the intro Georgia O’Keefe came into the discussion - waiting to see what the lecturer says about her vulva pictures. She was a little bit reticent about John Ruskin too - who was a champion of women artists but rather appreciated younger women - married a 17 year old - but discovered women had pubic hair and could go no further - the lecturer left out the pubic hair issue!

Little else to report - so here is a wonderful example of the seaside postcard demonstrating the good old double entendre

and something a little more explicit!
