It’s interesting how the same stimulus can incur a different response in different people. We’re in the middle of a snowstorm here in the northeast. As it was when I was a kid, my first response is pure joy. Waking up and seeing a blanket of white snow, or watching the snow fall, or going for a walk in the bitter cold, it always puts me in a good mood.
I really don’t understand any negative reactions to snow. Even when I have to do a lot of shoveling, I somehow enjoy it. I associate shoveling with hot chocolate and my cheeks feeling warm when I come back inside. I’m usually pretty stressed about how many hours in the day there are, but when it snows all responsibilities go out the window. A Snow Day. : )

I am so on the same page as you. I love snow and would rather deal with a blizzard any day of the week than triple digit temps.

I'd like a bizarro world where it's hot and snowing.

I've only ever liked snow in small amounts. Prefer the heat to the cold lll

Living in Montreal, you do tend to hate winter. Nature can drop as much snow as it frigging wants. I've never seen the city get a collective day off because of it. No matter the weather, we've gotta trudge through it. It's especially nasty when we get icefalls and you're taking your life in your hands just walking down the street, but you're still expected to show up for work. Traffic becomes a nightmare every time there's significant snow, and leaving your house is never fun when it's -30C and there's a high wind.
Snow is nice when it's a fresh fall and it's sunny and like -5C but otherwise it sucks. Not sure why I live here.

I'm one of the assholes who hates snow and winter. Most of my good memories from childhood are from being out in the woods behind my house in the summertime. Plus, cold hurts me! We can live happily ever after together though, you can do all the shoveling and I'll have hot chocolate ready for when you come back inside. ;)
