Better today and mundane entry in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Doing better today, but not going to work. I am better but not enough to feel like I should go into work.
Not sure that I can blame it all on the pizza, but it will be a long time before I buy the take n bake pizza again. :(

J and I will leave in just a few minutes so have very little time to write. Not even sure why I started this entry but I did. I will probably come back to it later as there are things I wanted to write today. Going to Walmart this morning to pick up a few things. 7 up being one of them. My stomach seems to have a harder time as I age (blah) tolerating tomato sauce in pizza and I think that depends on how much of certain spices are involved in the sauce.

Will return later.

Saved this as private until I could get back here.

I’m back but much later than anticipated when I wrote the above. Took J to meet his bus and then went to Walmart. Picked up several things and as usual had to browse the little fabric department but bought nothing from there. All purchases today were from the grocery department and home stuff such as toilet paper, detergent (since I haven’t made any yet this year), and the rest were food items. Got home and put everything away. Ate something for breakfast and then washed the dishes. Then decided to purge the fridge and wash any dishes from the purge. Dogs happy and full now.

I’ve been trying to log into my on line pharmacy to order my prescriptions and again couldn’t get on their site. I decided I best call them where I learned that they are no longer the right one. Seems there was a change from MEDCO to CVS. Oops. I am sure I got a letter, but also sure it is laying unopened in my bedroom. Again, oops. The lady I talked to at MEDCO was nice enough to give me the # to CVS which I then called. I had to furnish a lot of info although most of the info was transferred to them already. Yay! Appears my refill info didn’t get to CVS though so they will contact my Drs office and get them sent to them to refill. I went ahead and called my Drs office to let them know they will or have received a fax requesting refills on all my meds and then once CVS receives them, they will process and mail them to me. Good grief. During all that info exchange with CVS I realized my Debit card was about to expire so got the new one activated after the other two calls were completed. I’ve been on the phone a lot this morning, but think I’m good to go and current on meds, debit card, and knowledge of my mail in prescriptions.

Monday evening after work I stopped at the dollar tree to get a birthday gift bag for J’s birthday presents and also pickup a bag of potting soil. It isn’t a big one, think it was only 7lbs, but I intend to mix it with seed starter “soil” and at the end of Feb or 1st part of March I intend to start some seeds. I also have an idea to put them in the guest room where they can get some sunlight. It won’t be direct sunlight but light from outside. If they don’t well in there then I’ll move them back to the garage and use the florescent light. If they do ok in the bedroom, I may start some in the garage too. I’m ready for spring and we’ve barely had winter. I want to flowers ready for spring if possible and not have to buy many.

The weather in our area is supposed to turn this weekend. Rain and possible snow all weekend. We will not get as much as those hard hit area this week but this area freaks out and partially shuts down with 3 or 4 inches, and even less if the highways get slick and the road crews can’t keep them safe.

I am writing this while watching a “Great Performance” of Le Nozze di Figaro. I DVRd it a couple of weeks ago and only watch about an hour of it. I am the most surprised that I am enjoying it. VERY surprised in fact. The English translation is put up on the bottom of the screen so I understand what all the singing is about. If the English words weren’t included I wouldn’t be watching this or any other in a non English language. I am bit unsophisticated, –correction– a lot unsophisticated, but i I don’t understand what is going on, then what is the point. When you see these performances live, are you expected to know and understand the language or are their programs given to tell you Just curious as I don’t expect I’ll ever see a live performance.

Need to check the chicken. Have chicken breast cooking with celery and onion and time to put a hint of garlic in the broth. Chicken and noodles will be for supper tonight.

Take care, keep safe, and God Bless
