Huzzah! I was productive today. And by productive, I mean I took a 15 minute, online quiz…Good enough!
I have a grand total of 4 hours of class this week. I’m also almost positive I will be bad tomorrow and play hooky so that leaves 2 hours on Wednesday. Soon I’ll have to be there every day, so I figure I may as well take advantage of how silly my schedule is now.
Speaking of schedules, I got my schedule draft for my rotation year. EEK!!! They, of course, majorly screwed it up but not so majorly that they put me in large animal rotations. They did, however, fail to put in one of my vacations and got all but one of my externship dates wrong. I’m meeting on Wednesday to try to straighten stuff out. Schedules won’t be finalized until mid-Feb, so I’ve got time to meet with the schedulers a 2nd time if we can’t work it all out during my Wed meeting.
I also need to ask how my quarterly CT scans are going to work during rotations. We are given 3 excused sick days (BULLSHIT! That is ridiculously low for 13 months of non-stop stress) and I sure as hell am not using them for this. It’s frustrating because it’s a 2 day thing, with CT scan one day and meeting with my oncologist on a 2nd day and I am limited to weekdays. I’m going to ask if there’s an alternative place I can go for CT scans that has weekend hours, which would be really helpful, but I kind of have the feeling that probably won’t be an option. If not, then I’ll have to try to schedule my CT scans for as late in the day as possible (I am NOT going back to the hospital to work in close quarters with others while experiencing “major gas,” plus there’s always the possibility that I might have other barium-related side effects that require me to run to the bathroom with both urgency and great frequency). Blehhh it’s obnoxiously complicated and anxiety-inducing.
Aaaand one of the adorable, cuddly dogs curled up next to me is having some major gas of his or her own. Soooo stinky!
In other news, I have one eyebrow hair in my left eyebrow that is like 3 times longer than all the others. I discovered it fairly recently and, since it seems to be finer than its brethren and thus can’t really be seen aside from upon close examination, I think I’m going to leave it be and see how long it survives. Just because I probably need a hobby or something, right? Let’s just hope it doesn’t encourage the others to follow in it’s footsteps.
I’ve also kind of fallen in love with George Ezra’s voice. It’s silky, deep, smooth, lovely. And completely doesn’t look like it should come out of his face.
So good. And he looks like he’s like 12 so that voice is so perplexing coming out of him. I also bought scalped tickets to a concert of his from one of those (legitimate, supposedly) resale websites so I am quite excited about that coming up in my near future. I figure I won’t have tons of spare time during my rotation year, so might as well live it up until then!
