There I was in the supermarket in town and I saw cast iron kitchenware way down in price as part of a sale - we had talked about getting a shallow dish casserole - and there were a couple left which were real bargains.
Did I buy one - like hell I did - I thought I would check out with SW… if she wanted one - but then could not go back into town - so went in this morning - and…
There were none there - all gone - the shelves denuded!!
The result - we bought a larger cast iron casserole in a sale for three times what I would have paid - although this is a recognised make - and SW… is happy with it.

Just one of a number of big things today - had to re new the tv licence - £145 for the year - which actually I think is a bargain - under £3 a week for all the BBC output (radio and tv) and also access to all the Freeview stuff. As part of my campaign against all the works of Rupert Murdoch I refuse to have Sky TV - but once again one of his papers has shown us to be gullible.
Page 3 topless pics in the Sun are back - it was a publicity stunt - a cunning stunt, if you get my meaning - and all the liberal papers and feminists bought it. As a female commentator has written - it is not about bare tits but about getting one over the critics - to show you can poke them in the eye, or wherever you like, if you feel like it. Now why am I surprised - ‘twas always the way with Murdoch’s minions.
Just read about ‘taste bud orgasms’ - and thought I should say I came big last night - with scallops in a white wine sauce - big juicy scallops which were soft when cut and melted in the mouth.
