Excuse this entry - Australian Open ramble in Stuff

I’m watching the Kokkinakis vs Gulbis match at the Australian Open, and MAN I love watching this Aussie youngster play! He’s wearing the brightest outfit also and he is looking so good that he’s made me inspired to want to go to the gym tonight. But then this match just keeps going and going deep into a 5th set and I can’t look away! THIS guy is the future of Australian tennis and has been ever since I heard of him when he was only 16 in the juniors.
I can’t believe how excited I get over tennis. Ever since I was a kid.

And now it’s started POURING rain outside. I’d heard on the weather tonight that there was heavy rain and storms, but there was nothing where I live in the middle of the city so I was like ‘What the hell are they on about?’

Sure enough, it’s now POURING and seems to have come from nowhere.

My God if Kokkinakis actually wins this match, I’m gonna go batshit insane. I don’t know a more exciting sport in tennis in my opinion. It’s like Renee Stubbs said in a match at the Brisbane International, “There’s no timer in this game. You’ve got to play it out.” It’s so true! Well, this and table tennis I suppose haha. Even chess has a timer. Maybe darts? Pool?
I think he’s gonna have trouble closing this match out. I really shouldn’t write an entry whilst the match is playing in front of me! OMG he has a match point!!! Dammit, Deuce. Now he just did TWO aces followed by TWO double-faults!!! I just screamed out “Holy Shit!” haha. Holy fuck, he won, he WON!!! :D :D :D

And he just did a lap of the whole court slapping everyone’s hands. I’ve never seen a more humble sportsman than this fella.
