Huh - 01.14.15 in Bucket List

It’s funny how being apart from my friends and family allows me to be a better friend and family member.

Like, I nailed Christmas gifts. Got perfect gifts, somehow managed to get them there on time, received praise for my efforts. I send letters to the young members of my immediate family, and email my mother and sister and grandmother religiously with chatty, funny emails. I just sent out two birthday cards, one to a friend (remembering to wish a happy birthday to her 2 year old son, who shares her birthday) and one to my deadbeat brother, including a $20 (Australian) bill so he can get a beer and have a hit on the pokies with it (his choice, not mine).

I think right now I’m just winning at life, via post.
