Welcome back, Pete in Adventures in paradise

Went to Pete’s welcome back dinner tonight, whilst he is back in town from Sweden. Some of the guys at the dinner I hadn’t seen since Pete’s farewell haha.

I’ve only seen one photo, and it’s blurry as fuck from a self-timer on one of the guys phones, or maybe even one of the waitresses who took it (I know there were a few taken) but you can see me snuck up the back there haha.

It was nice to see Pete again after so long, and I thanked him for his gifts. He was looking good. Initially a girl I didn’t know sat between him and me, but she was kind enough to swap spots because she obviously knew more people than I did. I only ordered a salad, as I couldn’t stay long. All the food was shared anyway and I just threw in double to make sure I was covered when I left before everyone else. I still stayed around 1.5 hours though, and the food was very nice. He told us all a bit about what Sweden is like and that they have a staple-type dish which is basically caviar in a toothpaste tube LOL. Sounds horrible!

It was at the Himalayan Cafe, which I hadn’t actually dined at before in the 12 years I’ve lived here. The food was nice, but it was VERY hot and stuffy in there. There’s no windows and although they have air-con, neither one appeared to be working. Some people were seated outside though, and I feel if ever I’m there again, I should probably opt for outside, unless it’s Winter, then it might be okay. I’m had I piled on the deodorant beforehand, because I needed it haha.
