Some sunshine! in A small but passable life.

I got the inside of Mom’s bedroom closet painted yesterday. I was finished up by 12:30pm. It was warm enough to go lay by the pool for a few hours. It was actually warm enough to lay out after swimming. So nice!

Did I mention that I’d finished the sci-fi book I’d started a month ago? “The Unincorporated Man” by Dani and Eytan Kollin. I found a couple of non-fiction books to read.

I should be able to spend a few hours every day at the pool for the next few days. Life is hard.

I’ve got the bathroom to paint and I’m thinking about painting a few areas in the living room a darker shade of green just to accent and set the overall tone a bit less drab. Drab? Yeah, the pale green does look kind of drab. But . . . a painter shouldn’t be an interior designer, and I’m not. The customer is always right.

Mom left at 10am this morning to run her errands. It’s now 11am and after I get this posted I’ll wash the dishes and head over to the library to return some items and then I’ll go lay by the pool for a few hours. I’m halfway through the first non-fiction book so I’ll take that with me.

It is already 65 degrees outside. Back home it is 31 degrees. It’s kind of surreal to think that instead of being bundled up and walking in the cold trying to find someplace warm to spend the day I’ll be walking over to the pool in my swim trunks.

Jassy has received the box her Grandmother and I had sent her. She really liked the odds and ends we packed.

So yeah, time to do some chores and soak up some sunshine.
