2014 all over again …… in The odd entries from life …….

Every one’s wrong!

A friend in Canada is leaving her old job, and in her entry she says it will be Friday 16th January, a glance at the calendar I see it is the 17th January! Other dates seem to be wrong, and this calendar was a gift from Sweetheart’s Aunty this Christmas ‘last year’

Once more looking at something on line, how can every one be wrong, the calendar is away up on the wall so I’m squinting at it bleakly; and the print is small! So I gazed up at the calendar again, then I read across the top ‘January 2014’ This Aunt has had very poor eyesight in resent years, and we had said how better this years calendar’s photographs were.

The 2014 calendar were sent for 2014 was very poor, the photographs were not at all good, of course we didn’t say anything as it is a gift and Aunty can’t see at all clearly; so I shall keep this 2014 through 2015 if only for the better photographs of our home county Shropshire.

This Aunty is a great lass, nothing stops her, she lost her husband about five years ago, he was a nice quiet man who loved Cricket, he had a shelf full of Cricket’s yellow bible ‘Wisden’ He liked Christmas day quiet with just the two of them, they had visitors and visited on Boxing Day; and holidays were always by railway; well he did work on the railways all his working life.

Since then Aunty has been with her family at Christmas, and they drive up to Scotland for a week, and is took round towns in her wheelchair at great speed; powered by her adult Grandson! Also she goes on summer holidays, a family holiday here in Cornwall or some times near Portsmouth, strangely we have never been able to meat up; so we are going to arrange somewhere to meet.

Thinking about Aunty visiting us here her wheelchair and our flight of steps, would have been a problem; so we will try better this summer – all things coming together! We will still not mention the calendar except to say how good the images are ….
