Kings and thighs in blackpropaganda

One of the key aspects of the Three Kings Festival is their arrival - in some places on horseback, or helicopter, or hot air balloon. Here it is by boat as it gets dark. Then on to the three floats pulled by tractors which take over two hors to reach their destination in the town.
The kings and a helper all in costume throw sweets into the crowds - and kids have plastic bags to collect them. Last year in Andalucia a child was killed under the wheels of a float and so there is a lot of security now stopping them going under to collect sweets.
Until last year there was a Nativity float but that has gone now - and when we first saw the procession ten years ago a man set off rockets at the hard of the parade - not any more. Budget cuts plus Elf and Safety.
We do have the dab c ing girls leading the procession in great costumes, doing routines to loud music, from small girls to big girls. I reckon they just go through the ranks from the age of 4 to 24 and beyond . There will be pics when I get back of the big girls in white snow costumes split at the waist to show gold lame knickers over tights. Let us say they choose the best legs for this - and that made my evening - sad but true! They are dancing for the whole time so goodness knows how the little ones cope.
It got quite old - but it was dry - we came back for hot whiskies - and then then coffee and the special cake they eat fir the Three Kings - the Roscon de Reyes. Delicious.
Today is a public holiday - so off on our bikes to get a paper and some coffee - and get some money from an ATM.
If some of this is jumbled it is because I am writing on an old Kindle Fire!
Basra luego.
