After All Is Said & Done in meh...

Kind of a ominous title, but it means nothing.
I’m at work, my son is watching his nephew, aka my grandson. I guess I will have him the rest of the weekend.

Had a rough start this morning. I mean, I was awake and up in time. The new sexy shoes bought myself for Christmas don’t fit good. I need to find a way to stretch them out. So after that my badge and keys were missing. With my badge missing that means my bus pass is lost and I have at least a few more days to get back and forth to work. This is most upsetting. Of the three, I found my keys. I got a call from my son saying that he and grandbaby cleaned up and still didn’t find it. Maybe it’s in my room somewhere. I don’t know.

I don’t want to pay for another one. I don’t have another $78 for a monthly bus pass or $27 for a weekly pass just for next week.

I was super late this morning. Lucky for me no one was here that mattered that could actually tell, at least I think. I’m the only one here in my department. Handfull of HR employees. I had to “break into” my office to open the door my badge usually lets me in to. In doing that, I knocked out one of the sliding windows. It, in turn, knocked over my computer monitor, but it didn’t BREAK! Thank God. How hard of a time I would have explaining why this window is broken.

Then I get to work and it’s madness though no one is here. I answer the phone for the entire place. We have an exhibit going on right now and we are in the last week of it and when I tell you people are clamoring in trying to get a piece of it, it’s crazy. I had one call in progress and had to put 5 others on hold and most of them hung up while they were on hold. I try to be graceful about it, but it makes me panic when I’m in the middle of a call and the phone rings and the call isn’t one that will wrap up quickly. It’s down right irritating. And not saying that just because I’m PMSing either.

I just want to go home, find my badge/pass, eat, enjoy my boys, watch some movies and relax. I think I will be less wound up if I find my badge. All that other stuff will fall into place.

He called me last night as I was in the bed about to go to sleep. Called me to say “Merry Christmas”, to find out how the day went for us. I listened to his story. We spoke lightly then we said our goodbyes. “Alright then. Good night Baby. Love you.” He said it rather quickly and quietly I’m assuming because he WAS at home with her. He was cleaning up and was speaking in a hushed tone. I’m not crazy. I know better. LOL

Christmas was good. I got video of baby opening his stuff and it was 8 minutes long. He LOVED his dump truck. This makes me smile.

My daughter spent the night as well. She was happy with her gifts. She wasn’t a problem like she could be, thank goodness. My son is good with his games. He grabbed them and said, “Thanks so much. See you in about a month.” LOL That kid…

With that being said, will finish out this crazy day and head on home.
Again I will be much more relaxed when I find my badge/pass.

Take care, and love each other.
Kindest regards for the season,
Sister
