That would be Friday and Saturday.

Friday afternoon we started on the jigsaw puzzle. This is it. It is a remarkable puzzle. The engineer is entranced. It’s about two thirds done. (I got it at Walmart.) It’s American made. The pieces are cut in such a way that there is either no duplication or very little. And the colors are all different so you can tell where the pieces go - well sort of. There was a little tag in the box saying Team 214 made the puzzle, giving a post office and an email address for any comments. The company is located in Holyoke MA. The artist is John Powell.

Joana was down. We had a meal and modest presents. We played Dog Bingo and regular Bingo and had a game of Authors with new Author cards that have children’s authors on them.

Gracie and Hans are doing fine. The cats are showing up a lot more. The black one is positively friendly. Stripey is charming. Isacat is the dowager. The kittens can be glimpsed if you try hard enough.

There is no snow - not yet anyway.

Jim’s new old Sears tool box arrived Friday via FedEx. He bought it on ebay. He seems happy.

My computer is behaving a little strangely. It will be three years old on January 1. And it was pretty cheap. If I have to replace it I will. I’d just as soon it kept going but it’s not the end of the world if it dies.

John and Deb are visiting former classmates. The whole holiday season has a leisurely feel to it.

I think maybe the only thing I can cross off my list(s) the last few days is ‘play the piano’. I played some carols - not well - just the melody. Sometimes the notes are pretty and sometimes they are not. That’s ok too.
